What I can’t Stop Listening To Now: Eva Cassidy
Most people haven’t heard of Eva Cassidy, her stunning voice and tragic life have largely gone unnoticed in the United States. She has become one of my favorite singers and I think you will be truly moved by her life and music.
It will take some time. Here is an old Nightline “Encore” presentation of her tragic and remarkable story.

“Songbird” is one of my favorite songs of all time. It’s a Fleetwood Mac song, written by Christine McVie on the Rumours album and it was THE love song for young-me.
I love Christine McVie and prefer her over her cape- wearing counterpart Stevie Nicks. Eva Cassidy’s version of the song will just make you cry, especially after knowing her story.
Simply overwhelming.

It’s astonishing, but in 2005, Amazon.com released a list of its top 25 best-selling musicians, which placed Eva in 5th position! Right behind The Beatles, U2, Norah Jones and Diana Krall. It is just so sad that she didn’t live to produce more music and to see the happiness she brought to the world.
