Christmas Gift Ideas (part 5)

Reading and Playing. That is the gift-theme of Christmas this year. I am doing almost all books and games for kids and grown-ups too. These are the only things that really last anyway. Here are a few suggestions.

Steve Martin has just release a new memoir "Born Standing Up." I am halfway through it (via iTunes download) and I’m enjoying it (as I do almost everything he does.)

($14.99. Give it with "The Wild and Crazy Comedy Collection", $16.95)

Help someone you love release their inner artist (or Guerilla) with this spiffy little book, "The Guerilla Art Kit."

Great for kids too!

Have a Jane Austin Christmas! This is a really great book for someone who can’t get enough Jane Austin. Her Letters are a wonderful insight into her world.

Couple with BBC’s "Pride and Prejudice". Almost 5 hours of Austin fun! (and Colin Firth Meeoooow)

Planet Earth, $23.97. Perfect gift for your Dad (or Glen Corey.)

The World Of Peter Rabbit (The Original hardcover books 1-23), by Beatrix Potter would be a great gift for a child. They are expensive, $100.08, but these little books are classics that would last through generations. I saw them at my B&N and they were beautiful (and more expensive). I would love to have them for myself.

Dysfunctional Family Therapy Mad Libs ($3.99) is the perfect stocking stuffer game for someone who enjoys laughing at their sad, sorry childhood.

The rest of the games you can think of yourself. For heaven’s sake, I can’t do EVERYTHING for you this Christmas.
