My family and I have taken the Handmade Pledge this Christmas, and since I don’t personally make anything by hand, the pledge means I will be shopping Etsy and craft fairs for the next month.
Lucky me! Patchwork is this weekend in Santa Ana. So, if you have taken the plunge (or pledge), maybe I’ll see you there.
(I’m the spool of thread in the middle and Blythe is the one on the right. It’s so obvious that Meg is the one on left–the resemblance is uncanny. Chris is the sewing machine with the mustache because it’s a boy and he’s a boy.)
Meg says
OMG, I had no idea that picture of us was floating around out there! Thanks for tagging me!
Handmade sounds like a great idea for most folks on my gift-giving list, except probably for my boys. The one side of our family is foregoing the “white elephant” gift exchange this year and purchasing items to donate to a homeless shelter that my one aunt supports in Pittsburgh PA, and that is actually the shopping to which I look forward with most excitement.
