This morning at The Spectrum

Hauled myself to the Irvine Spectrum this morning to take some pictures for my “Alive in Wonderland” story tomorrow. I snapped some pictures of the ferris wheel and the windows at Anthropologie (which were a disappointment this time around–won’t bother posting).

I have been inspired to take more pictures of the world around me by the blog I Like. Anne is an astonishing photographer. She can make even the most simple things interesting and important. She lives in Scotland and I have enjoyed “getting to know” the world where she lives through her blog and photos. Check out her Flickr photos as well, so talented…

There is so much beauty here in Orange County. I am going to try to explore some of it in photos taken around the county (never coming within a whisper of talented photographers like Anne).

Chris at Dharma Bum is doing this for Orange County with his new gig as a self-made videographer. Check this out video he took while riding his bike through Huntington Beach (my hometown). I like that it is simple and real.

Here are some pictures from The Spectrum. (The Irvine Spectrum is an outdoor shopping mall here in Orange County for all those in other parts or the country and world.)
